What is IP Address - Every device linked to a computer network that makes use of the Internet Protocol is given an IP address, which stands for Internet Protocol address. It is used to recognise and interact with other internet-connected devices.

You can use these steps to find your IP address:


1. Open the Command Prompt on a Windows computer by hitting Windows key + R, then type "cmd" and click Enter. Open the Terminal on a Mac by hitting Command + Space, then enter "terminal" into the box that appears.

2. Type "ipconfig" (Windows) or "ifconfig" (Mac) into the Command Prompt or Terminal window.


3. Under "IPv4 Address" (Windows) or "inet," your IP address will be displayed (Mac).
